Helpforme at Cycling BC Ride Leader Training

This February saw the launch of the new NCCP Let’s Ride! Community On-going Participation: Ride Leader Training course. Cycling BC created this one-day workshop with the help of three BC cycle clubs: Glotman Simpson Cycling, Wowride Cycling and Whistler Cycling Club. The course covers the basic principles of coaching and leadership including ethical decision-making, planning and organizing a ride, cycling safety and risk management, and introducing disabled riders to the sport.

Our own Trevor Bastian attended the pilot course along with several members of the Helpforme Personal Legal Services team, including managing partner Joel Zanatta.  It was a fun and instructional day packed with valuable information about ride leadership and outdoor cycling skills.

“We are eager to put what we learned into practice throughout the upcoming riding season, and to add to the conversation on safe cycling.” – Joel Zanatta, Helpforme
