When we say 100% of the money raised goes to pancreatic cancer research that means also includes all money from our cash sponsors. Leading up into the final two weeks before we all ride up Cypress Mountain we are proud to say we have currently raised $162,000 through sponsors for the 6th Annual Cypress Challenge.
We would like to pass along our genuine gratitude for all of our 2013 sponsors. This year we are lucky enough to have three presenting sponsors aligning goals with us, Beedie Giving, Britco and KPMG. All three of these organizations see value in giving back in their community and are helping the Glotman Simpson Cycling Club pioneer a future without Pancreatic Cancer.
All of us at Beedie Giving are excited to be part of this fun cycling event to support Pancreatic Cancer research. We wish all the members of the Glotman Simpson Cycling Club every success on event day. Beedie Giving contributes to organizations that support health, education and safety-based projects both locally and around the world.
Britco is proud to be a presenting sponsor of this year’s Cypress Challenge, as part of our Building Strong Communities giving program. Britco has committed to giving 1.5% of corporate profits back into the communities we do business in to support health and youth education initiatives.
Every year over 180,000 Canadians are diagnosed with cancer and through research, we have been able to dramatically increase cancer survivability rates. Research, specifically for pancreatic cancer, we hope, will achieve comparable results as other cancer research areas. We wish to thank all the members of the Glotman Simpson Cycling Club for their efforts and wish the club a successful event.
KPMG is proud to sponsor the Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge. Cancer is a cause that cuts deep and has deeply affected our firm. In one form or another it has impacted almost all of our people and our clients. Cancer research is a priority issue for our people and we are excited to enter our teams in the race and support our community by raising funds for the BC Cancer Foundation!
