Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Cypress Challenge on Saturday, August 20, 2011.

Join us to ride up Cypress Mountain to raise money for pancreatic cancer research at the BC Cancer Foundation. Once again the event is open to everyone with a bike, a helmet, and the determination to pedal up the mountain.

The 2010 event was our most successful to date with 199 riders helping raise over $50,000 for the Betty Ergas Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund through the BC Cancer Foundation. And we aim to make the 4th Annual event even better. We will have more details to share about the 2011 event very soon.

To pull off a successful event we need your help. First we hope everyone will help spread the word and encourage participation from cyclists of all abilities. We are also looking for club members who have time to volunteer or that might have potential sponsor contacts.

We are looking for:

Event volunteers to:

• set-up /take-down
• registration
• timing

volunteer committee to find sponsors and put together:

• 300+ Participant packs
• Prizing for 11 ride categories and top fundraisers
• Raffle items

people with potential media partner contacts

help finding finish line catering and entertainment sponsors
