Glotman•Simpson Cycling is hosting its first cyclocross race on Saturday, November 13 at the South Surrey Bike Park in White Rock. The course will include a challenging mix of pavement, grass, gravel pathway and the some BMX track for the kid in us all. This course has been part of the calendar in the past but a few surprises lay in wait this year. Great opportunities for spectator viewing at many different vantage points. Come on out and help us make the race a success again this year!
Note that this is the first race of a CX double-header weekend with Atomic Racing whose race goes Sunday out in Aldergrove (www.atomicracing.com).

Directions
For those of you who do not know where the Bike Park is, it is in the forested area west of the South Surrey Athletic Park near Softball City. It lies between 20th and 24th Avenues and is west of 148th St.
South bound from Highway 99 (Oak Street Bridge)
Take exit 10 which is the first White Rock exit, about 20 minutes south of the Oak Street Bridge in Vancouver. Head south on King George Highway and turn right (just past Rona and the Shell station) onto 148th St. Head up the hill past the pedestrian overpass and turn right onto 24th Ave at the lights. Your first left takes you into the Athletic Park and Softball City. From there you will see a tall concrete water tower and a metal cell phone tower. The Bike Park in that general area. Plenty of parking is available on site.
West or East Bound Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway)
Take the 152nd St exit and head south for a long time (~20 minutes). Turn right on 24th Ave and take the first left after the lights at 148th St.
U.S. visitors
Take I-5 into Canada and then the first White Rock exit past the border. After passing west over Highway 99 (I-5 Canadian style), turn right onto King George Highway. Head North on King George through the roundabout and then turn left onto 24th Ave (the third set of lights). Carry on through 3 lights (the last set is at 148th) and turn left into the Athletic Park and Softball City.
